1. Я так много совершил,
Но в этом нет надежности.
Я так много говорил

И когда не понят я -

2. Я судил других так часто,
Сам достойный осужденья.
Добродетель измеряя
Лишь религией своею.
Теология – не то, что спасенье принесет,
Лишь благодать Твоя мир дает!

# Сладостный звук – благодать,
Та, что слепому смогла зренье дать!
Ты вознесен был на Крест,
Твоя благодать покрывает мой грех!
Хоть не заслужил я и недостоин,
Ты любишь меня, не смотря на паденья.
Не кто я сейчас, но кем буду я,
Твой труд не напрасен, во мне – цель Твоя!
